Education and Training

Education is at the heart of our mission. We believe that knowledge empowers individuals and builds stronger communities.

Key Initiatives:

  • Maasai Girls Primary and Secondary Education: Providing scholarships and resources to ensure girls can attend and complete their education.
  • Eagle Secondary School Building Fund: Supporting the construction of a school in Orpopong Village, Njoro Ward, to expand access to quality education.
  • Adult Education Sponsorship Program: Enhancing literacy among pastoralists and small farmers, enabling them to manage businesses, cast secret ballots, and advocate for their rights.

Impact:

  • 200+ adults enrolled in literacy classes.
  • 50+ girls supported with educational resources.

Gender, Youth, and Children Affairs

Promoting gender equality is essential to community development. Through training, campaigns, and direct support, we empower women and youth to lead change.

Key Initiatives:

  • Safe House for GBV Survivors: Offering temporary shelter, counseling, and legal assistance to victims of gender-based violence.
  • Economic Empowerment Grants: Providing livestock such as goats and cows to strengthen household economies.
  • Leadership Training for Women and Youth: Encouraging participation in decision-making processes and community leadership roles.

Impact:

  • 15 GBV survivors provided shelter and legal aid.
  • 10 women trained in leadership now hold local government positions.

Environment and Natural Resource Management

We address environmental challenges by promoting conservation and sustainable resource use.

Key Initiatives:

  • Land-Use Planning: Resolving land disputes by facilitating collaborative land-use plans that ensure fair access.
  • Climate Resilience Projects: Supporting cattle breeding and fattening programs to improve community adaptation to climate change.
  • Community Training: Educating villagers on sustainable farming, tree planting, and climate adaptation techniques.

Impact:

  • 5 villages adopted sustainable land-use plans.
  • 1,000+ trees planted to combat deforestation.

Advocacy, Research, and Cultural Preservation

Advocacy lies at the core of our work, ensuring that marginalized voices are heard.

  • Educating communities on land and human rights.
  • Conducting research to guide policies and programs.
  • Preserving Maasai cultural practices while promoting modern development initiatives.
